HANNIBAL -- A Hannibal man was charged with gun and drug-related felonies Tuesday.
Marion County Prosecuting Attorney David Clayton said Markeleous Woodson, 18, was charged with possession of 110 grams of marijuana with intent to distribute and possession of a firearm while in possession of a controlled substance. The charges carry to 14 years in prison, up to four years in jail and up to a $20,000 fine.
Woodson is alleged to have engaged in a dispute at another drug distributor's residence to "settle a score," Clayton said. Clayton said Woodson brought a loaded 40-round AR-15 style assault rifle to the dispute.
"Despite being 18 years of age, the defendant allegedly committed very serious offenses," Clayton said. "Adult actions will bring adult consequences."
Woodson is in the Marion County Jail. His first court appearance will be by video on Friday, Sept. 7.
