Hannibal man charged with stealing from cars

HANNIBAL, Mo. -- A Hannibal man was arrested and charged with trespassing and misdemeanor theft after being detained by a resident of the 1600 block of Bird Street.

Hannibal Police Department officers responded to a suspicious person report at 11:44 p.m. Wednesday to find Andrew W. Parks, 20, being detained by a resident who allegedly found Parks sitting in the homeowner's car.

Parks later admitted to stealing from vehicles. He was taken to the Marion County Jail on a 24-hour hold.
