Ron and Barb Duesterhaus of Mendon will be honored for their 50th wedding anniversary with a celebration from 6 p.m. to midnight May 16 in the Knights of Columbus Hall in Quincy. The event will be hosted by their children. Family and friends are invited; no gifts are requested.

Mr. Duesterhaus and the former Barbara Neisen were married May 17, 1958, in St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Mrs. Duesterhaus is a daughter of the late Frank and Mabel Wiewel Neisen. Mr. Duesterhaus is a son of the late Vullmar and Agnes Genenbacher Duesterhaus.

They are the parents of Daryl Duesterhaus of Mendon, Kent Duesterhaus and Stacy Wiemelt of Quincy, Denise Brown and Dave Taylor of Quincy, Jeff and Krys Duesterhaus of Quincy, and Ronna and Daniel Roberts of Quincy. They have 11 grandchildren.

They are members of St. Edward Catholic Church in Mendon and enjoy attending their grandchildren's sporting events.
