Richard "Dick" and Edna Steinkamp of 2533 Lind will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary.

They were married May 8, 1948, in St. Mary Catholic Church.

Mrs. Steinkamp is a daughter of the late Frank and Laura Huber Bockhold. Mr. Steinkamp is a son of the late Ferd and Rosina Genenbacher Steinkamp.

They are the parents of Laverne Meyer and her husband, Billy, of Quincy, Dale Steinkamp and his wife, Judie, of Center, Mo., Shirley Stevenson and her husband, Jay, of Springfield and Teresa McMillin and her husband, Chris, of Inverness. They have six grandchildren.

After three years of service in the Army Air Force during World War II, Mr. Steinkamp was employed for 20 years as an auto mechanic at the Ford garage in Quincy and then 20 years as an auto mechanic instructor at Quincy Technical School, from which he retired in 1988.

Mrs. Steinkamp is a homemaker.

They are members of St. Francis Catholic Church, where she is a member of the Ladies of St. Francis and he is a member of the Holy Name Society and is a lector and usher.
