CANTON, Mo. -- Culver-Stockton College hosted its annual Student Honors Art Show through May 1 to exhibit the best work from the C-SC's art and graphic arts studios during the 2007-08 academic year.
The show, judged by Michael Gaines from the Hannibal Arts Council, presented awards to several students.
Area students receiving awards were:
Best of Show for Two-Dimensional Work to Bryandt Quisenberry, senior from New London, Mo., for charcoal drawing.
The Faculty Art Award was given to Quisenberry, for having the strongest body of work in the student show.
Caleb Bourn, sophomore, Saverton -- Artistic Excellence Award (stoneware pottery); Honorable Mention Award (raku pottery) Brittany Darnell, sophomore, Lewistown-- Artistic Excellence Award (digital photography)
Kendra Feld, senior, Quincy, Ill. -- Artistic Excellence Awards (oil on canvas); Honorable Mention Awards (stoneware pottery and oil on canvas) Aaron Green, senior, New London -- Artistic Excellence Award (mixed media sculpture)
Kailey Mosley, senior, Carthage, Ill. -- Honorable Mention Award (digital photography)
Kyle Otten, senior, Quincy, Ill. -- Honorable Mention Award (terra cotta torso sculpture)
Quisenberry -- Artistic Excellence Award (oil on canvas).
Michelle Schwanke, senior, Hannibal, Mo. -- Artistic Excellence Award (digital photography).
