The engagement of Nicole Dougherty and Justin Fallein, both of Kansas City, Mo., has been announced by her parents, Chris Dougherty of Quincy and Penny Dougherty of Columbia, Mo. Mr. Fallein is a son of Michael and Diane Fallein of Cameron, Mo.

The bride-elect is a 2001 graduate of Quincy High School and a 2005 graduate of the University of Missouri-Columbia, where she was a member of Pi Beta Phi. Miss Dougherty is a dental assistant.

The prospective bridegroom is a 2001 graduate of Missouri Western State University, where he was on the men's golf team. He is an insurance broker.

The couple plans to be married in Kansas City.
