The engagement of Stephanie Lynn Seibert and Derrick Eugene Baze, both of Jacksonville, has been announced by their parents. A May 31 wedding is planned in St. Peter Catholic Church.

The bride-elect is a daughter of Deborah Seibert of 702 Edgewood Drive and the late James Seibert. She is a 2002 graduate of Quincy Notre Dame High School and a 2007 graduate of Quincy University, where she was a member of Kappa Delta Pi. Miss Seibert is a special education teacher in Springfield.

The prospective bridegroom is a son of Richard Baze of West Point and Mr. and Mrs. LaVerne Franken of 1817 Vermont. He attended Quincy High School and is employed in the warehouse at Dot Foods.
