The engagement of Turquoia Chanel Bernard and Duan Allen Wyatt, both of 620 Madison, has been announced by her parents, Antoinette Young and Terry Bernard of 528 Hickory Grove E. and Jeff Young of North Ninth Street. Mr. Wyatt is a son of Dianna and Billy Owens of St. Louis.

Miss Bernard attended Quincy High School and is assistant manager at the Sun Loan Co.

Mr. Wyatt attended Southeast Missouri State University and is employed by Hollister Whitney Elevator Corp.

A May 24 wedding is planned in Bethel AME Church.
