Miss Rebecca Anne "Becca" Farlow and John Hamilton Alves, both of Joplin, Mo., were united in marriage Jan. 5 in Madison Park Christian Church in Quincy.
The bride is a daughter of Steve and LeeAnn Farlow of Camp Point. The bridegroom is a son of Steve and Janice Alves of Corpus Christi, Texas.
The bride was given in marriage by her parents during the 2 p.m. ceremony conducted by Chuck Sackett of Quincy and Larry Van Laar of San Marcos, Calif. Music was provided by Lacey Phillips, Jessica Pittman and Josh Farlow, vocalists, and Lacey and Dan Phillips, Kelsey Horner, Brandon Wiewel, Rick Neal, Anna Kaiser and Paula Reinhardt, musicians.
Maid of honor was Jessica Pittman of Washington, Ill., sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Sierra Alves and Stephanie Futch, both of Corpus Christi and sisters of the bridegroom.
Best man was Chris Waasdorf of San Luis Obispo, Calif. Groomsmen were Josh Farlow of Camp Point, brother of the bride, and Chase Alves of Corpus Christi, brother of the bridegroom.
Ushers-communion servers were Jon Pittman, brother-in-law of the bride, and John and Shawna Mitchell, Joe and Whitney Souza, Edgar and Emily Gonzales, Timmy Stoner, April Olsen, Candice McCue, Eric Gonzales, Josh Willis and Katie Hargrove.
Flower girls were Emily and Elise Huseman of Quincy, and ring bearer was Caleb Quade of Joplin.
The bridegroom's parents hosted a rehearsal dinner in the fellowship hall of the church. A reception immediately followed the ceremony in the warehouse adjoining the church.
After honeymooning in Kinderhook, the newlyweds are at home in Joplin.
The bride is a graduate of Camp Point Central High School and attended John Wood Community College and Ozark Christian College in Joplin. She is a photographer for In His Image Photography and Sears Portrait Studio in Joplin.
The bridegroom is a graduate of Flour Bluff High School in Corpus Christi and is pursuing a degree in ministry from Ozark Christian College in Joplin. He is a sales assistant at Best Buy in Joplin.
