QUINCY -- A Quincy woman was arrested in connection with a Tuesday crash involving a Quincy School District bus.

A Quincy Police Department report said that Kimberly A. Presley, 53, of 820 Country Club Heights, was arrested for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident after her 2002 Lexus slammed into the rear of a school bus that had stopped to pick up children near 20th and Locust. Both vehicles were headed east.

Presley was later released on a promise to comply as bond.

The crash resulted in no injuries, but there was extensive damage to both Presley's vehicle and the school bus driven by Joanne S. Watson.

The police report indicated the bus had come to a complete stop, the door was opening for children to board and lights on the bus were operating. Witnesses said and video showed Presley's car slamming into the back of the bus, according to the report. The report also said video showed Presley's car appeared not to brake.
