QUINCY — Two people were extricated from a vehicle Tuesday night after it struck a tree at 15th and Jefferson.
Quincy police, firefighters and the Adams County Ambulance Service responded to the scene at 8:47 p.m., according to a news release from the Quincy Police Department.
Upon arriving, officers discovered a vehicle had crashed into a tree in the front yard of 1430 Jefferson.
The driver, Jessica Bryant, 30, of Quincy told officers that she was westbound on Jefferson approaching 15th Street when a car pulled out in front of her. Bryant said she swerved to avoid the other car and lost control and slid into the tree.
Bryant was transported by ambulance to Blessing Hospital with moderate injuries, the report said. The hospital had no information listed for Bryant on Wednesday morning.
The front-seat passenger, Everette Fowler, 30, of Quincy was trapped in the vehicle. The Quincy Fire Department extricated Fowler from the vehicle and transported him by ambulance to Blessing. Fowler was listed in fair condition Wednesday morning.
The report says there are no known witnesses to the crash and the other vehicle involved was not at the scene and has not been identified. Anyone with information related to the incident should contact QPD.
No citations were issued. The investigation will continue.
