    The honors were expected because they were deserved. Jordan Johnson, a sophomore point guard on the John Wood Community College men's basketball team, was named the Region 24 Player of the Year after the Trail Blazers won the region championship and earned their way back to the NJCAA Division II national tournament. "Jordan's the best point guard I've ever played with," JWCC sophomore forward Paxton Harmon said.
