    Customers should notice little changes if federal regulators approve the merging of Bank of Quincy and Homebank. The sister companies have agreed to file an application with the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. and the Federal Reserve Bank in St. Louis to merge banking operations. Upon approval, Bank of Quincy would take on the Homebank name.

    Chuck Scholz believes he has "a second chance" at life after getting a liver transplant on Feb. 13 to replace his own liver, which was failing due to cancer. Doctors gave the former Quincy mayor "a great report" on April 15, releasing him to do a little light activity. Scholz wants to use his newfound energy to become a spokesman for organ and tissue donation.
