    Sure, the Fourth of July fireworks were impressive as expected Saturday night at the Illinois Veterans Home. So were all of the trappings that accompanied the celebration, from the on-stage musical entertainment to the concessions and other attractions. Possibly lost to some, however, were the memories and sacrifices that are a part of many lives on a day such as July 4, especially at a site like the Veterans Home.
