The annual meeting of the Friends of the Castle will be held Wednesday, May 7 in the Villa Kathrine.

Refreshments will be served at 5:30 p.m. and the meeting begins at 6 p.m.

The agenda includes election of officers and board members; review of Tourist Information Center activities and special events for the year; a report on volunteer activities, including naming the Volunteer of the Year; and an update on the "raise the roof" campaign.

Friends of the Castle, is the not-for-profit organization, incorporated 30 years ago, that restored the 108-year old Mediterranean style Villa Kathrine at 532 Gardner Expressway. It is a member of the Quincy Society of Fine Arts, Quincy Area Chamber of Commerce, Quincy Preserves and Illinois Association of Museums.

The Villa serves as Quincy's Tourist Information Center and Great River Road Interpretive Center, and is available for tours, and rental.
