| Methode plant in Golden to close its doors July 1 |

Methode Electronics, Inc. has announced it will begin laying off the 46 employees at its Golden plant June 22. The plant will shut down for good on July 1.
The employees are not represented by a labor organization. They consist of 38 in production support, five material handlers, one ISPC operator and two supervisors.
Methode announced Jan. 24 it will eliminate about 450 of the 600 remaining jobs at the Carthage plant by the end of the year and close its automotive operations facilities in Golden. It was at first thought this would affect 100 workers in Golden.
