Mr. and Mrs. Virgil E. Aden of Golden will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary with a card shower and an open house. The open house will be from 2 to 5 p.m. May 10 at the home of their granddaughter, Kara and Chris Marlow, who live on the family farm that Mr. and Mrs. Aden lived on and farmed for over 50 years at 2701 E. 2500th St., LaPrairie.

Virgil "Squirt" and Rosella "Odie" were married May 9, 1948, in the Methodist church in Media.

They are the parents of Gayleen (Fred) Douglas of Golden and Jerelyn Douglas of Camp Point. They have seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Mr. Aden is retired from farming and enjoys golf and woodworking.

Mrs. Aden is a homemaker and enjoys babysitting her great-grandchildren.

They are members of Trinity Lutheran Church in Golden.
