Bernard and Norma Clemenson

Bernard and Norma Clemenson of 2031 W. Wilmar Drive are observing their 50th wedding anniversary. They plan to celebrate with a cruise at a later date.

The couple were married May 3, 1958, in the Methodist Church in Shelbyville, Mo.

Mrs. Clemenson is a daughter of the late Henry and Alice Claussen, formerly of Shelbyville. Mr. Clemenson is a son of the late Carl and Olive Clemenson, formerly of Montrose, Iowa.

Mr. Clemenson retired from Sunbeam Bakery in 1997 after 33 years of service. He is a member of Teamsters Local 688, enjoys singing and has sung with the Quincy Symphony Chorus.

Mrs. Clemenson retired from Gardner-Denver Co. after 36 years of service as a secretary in the purchasing department. She is a past member of the Quinsippi Chapter of the National Secretaries Association and is a member of the Gardner-Denver Quarter Century Club. She enjoys flower gardening.

The Clemensons have traveled throughout the United States, Hawaii, Canada and the Caribbean, visiting St. Thomas and St. John, U.S. Virgin Islands, and have enjoyed winters in Arizona and Florida. They also do volunteer work and play golf.
