The engagement of Meredith Herrmann and John Cade, both of Nashville, Tenn., has been announced by her parents, the Rev. H.W. and Ginger Herrmann of Denton, Texas. Mr. Cade is a son of Dr. James and Barbara Cade of Manchester, Tenn.

Miss Herrmann is a 2002 graduate of Quincy High School and a 2007 graduate of Middle Tennessee State University. She is a booking assistant at Creative Artists Agency.

Mr. Cade graduated in 2007 from Middle Tennessee State University and is an Internet producer at Lifeway Christian Resources.

A May 17 wedding is planned in St. George Episcopal Church in Nashville.
