Mr. and Mrs. Brad Burdick of Elmhurst and Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Willard of Quincy have announced the engagement of their children, Kimberly J. Burdick and Nicolas E. Willard.

The bride-elect is a 1999 graduate of Seneca Valley High School in Harmony, Pa. She graduated from Bowling Green State University in 2003 and completed graduate work in 2005 at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Miss Burdick is a speech-language pathologist in the Chicago suburb of Clarendon Hills.

The prospective bridegroom is a 1999 graduate of Quincy High School. He graduated in 2003 from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where he completed his graduate work in 2005. Mr. Willard is a speech-language pathologist in Downers Grove.

A July 12 wedding is planned in Downers Grove.
