The engagement of Megan Wagner and Christopher Webster, both of Columbia, Ill., has been announced by their parents. She is a daughter of Jim and Karen Wagner of Danville. He is a son of Charles and Sharon Webster of 5926 County Road 312, Palmyra, Mo.

The bride-elect graduated in 2002 from Danville High School and earned a bachelor's degree in information systems technology with an emphasis in captioning in 2006 from Southern Illinois University-Carbondale. Miss Wagner is employed by Keefe Reporting and Wagner Communications.

The prospective bridegroom graduated in 2002 from Palmyra High School and earned a bachelor's degree in industrial technology management with an emphasis in land surveying in 2007 from SIU-C. Mr. Webster is employed by Heneghan and Associates.

A May 17 wedding is planned in Danville.
