Early Tin Dusters Car Club raises more than $14,000 for Camp Callahan
The Early Tin Dusters Car Club of Quincy recently presented its annual donation to Camp Callahan that pushed its total contribution to the summer camp that serves special needs children to more than $100,000.
The Tin Dusters' donation from their 2008 Color Run in October was for $14,059. Since 1990, the club has donated $104,228.80 to the camp that is located in northern Adams County.
Denny Milfs and Charlie Bryson were co-chairmen for the Color Run, which drew about 900 pre-1948 cars to Quincy for a three-day weekend. The Tin Dusters have been hosting the event for 33 years.
This year's color run is scheduled for Oct. 16-18.
