Townsend - Humke

Mr. and Mrs. Elvin Townsend are at home at 733 Woodbridge after their marriage Feb. 29 in Payson United Methodist Church.

The bride is the former Mrs. Ida May Humke of 733 Woodbridge, daughter of the late Esther Kappner Cramlett. The bridegroom, of 2911 S. 48th, is a son of the late Harry and Esther Townsend.

The bride was given in marriage by her daughter, Kathern Kay Humke, during the 2 p.m. ceremony conducted by the Rev. Stacy Tomich. Music was provided by Mrs. Venita Baker.

Maid of honor was Kathern Kay Humke. Bridesmaid was Cheryl Townsend, daughter of the bridegroom.

Best man was Marshall Townsend, son of the bridegroom.

The bridal couple's home at 733 Woodbridge was the setting for a wedding dinner, hosted by the children, and a reception at 6 p.m.

The bride is a graduate of Quincy High School and was a partner in Humke Photography for 32 years. She is a member of Beta Sigma Phi and the Quinsippi Stamp Club.

The bridegroom is a graduate of Quincy High School. He was employed by Gardner Denver and Quincy Compressor before retiring in 1994.
