Miss Kathryn Hopkins and Bradley Hummel were united in marriage June 30, 2007, in St. Henry Church in Belleville.

The bride is a daughter of William and Patricia Hopkins of Belleville. The bridegroom is a son of Thomas and Alice Hummel of Quincy.

The bride was given in marriage by her parents during the 2 p.m. ceremony conducted by the Rev. Carl Scherrer. Tom Docter was organist and Sean Riley was vocalist. Also participating in the ceremony were Kathy Gray, Mary Venvertloh and Alletha Reiss, readers; Kenneth Moyer and Michael Hummel, presentation of gifts; and Linda Moyer and Kay Hummel, Eucharistic ministers.

Maid of honor was Megan Hummelsheim of Quincy. Bridesmaids were Sara Murray and Jennifer Riley McCracken, both of Belleville; Anne Dulski of Lebanon and Elizabeth Shorts of Doylestown, Pa., cousins of the bride; and Leigh Ann Hornsey of Liberty. Junior bridesmaid was Zoey Klauser of Quincy, daughter of the bridegroom.

Best men were Brian Hummel and Brent Hummel, brothers of the bridegroom. Groomsmen were Brendon Hopkins of Belleville, brother of the bride, and John Gerding of St. Louis, Matthew Boudreau of Quincy and Jay Wavering of Springfield.

Ushers were Tim Hill and Brian Christ, both of Quincy.

A reception was held in the St. Clair Country Club in Belleville.

The bride is a 2005 graduate of Quincy University.

The bridegroom is a 1999 graduate of Quincy University.
