Koch - Johnson
Central Baptist Church in Quincy was the setting for the Sept. 15, 2007, wedding of Miss Ashley Ruth Johnson and James Brandon Koch, both of Macomb.
The bride is a daughter of Randal and Carol Johnson of 1427 N. 10th. The bridegroom is a son of Laura Schmidt of Quincy and the late Jimmy Koch.
Mr. Johnson gave his daughter in marriage during the 2:30 p.m. ceremony conducted by Jason Triplett and Ivan Greuter. Music was provided by Margret Mealiff, organist, and David Dexheimer and Peggy Pryor, soloists. Candlelighters were Mrs. Beth Tanaka, sister of the bride, and Mrs. Leslie Hugenburg, sister of the bridegroom.
Maid of honor was Miss Diana Warner. Bridesmaids were Miss Kortney Spieser and Miss Jessica Koch, sisters of the bridegroom, and Miss Renae Goodwin. Junior bridesmaid was Cheyenne Hogue, sister of the bridegroom.
Best man was Michael Ferguson. Groomsmen were Evan Holbrook, Brian Cockerill and Chris Robbins. Junior groomsman was Blake Koch, brother of the bridegroom.
Ushers were Jed Johnson and Derek Johnson, brothers of the bride, and Carlton Werner.
Flower girl was Naomi Tanaka, niece of the bride, and ring bearer was Kaleb Johnson, nephew of the bride.
The bridegroom's mother hosted a rehearsal dinner in the church fellowship hall. A dinner-dance reception began at 6 p.m. in the Machinists Hall.
The newlyweds are at home in Macomb after a weekend trip to St. Louis and a trip in November to Hawaii.
The bride is a 2005 graduate of Quincy High School and is a student at Western Illinois University in Macomb. She is employed by Burger King and is a member of Job's Daughters and Eastern Star.
The bridegroom is a 2005 graduate of Quincy High School. He is a member of the 1844th Army National Guard and is serving overseas.
