Sturhahn - Verhofstadt

Mr. and Mrs. Christopher Steven Sturhahn are at home in New York City after honeymooning in Grenada, West Indies.

Mr. Sturhahn and the former Miss Meghan Elizabeth Verhofstadt, both of New York City, were married Feb. 2 in Our Lady Star of the Sea in Bremerton, Wash.

The bride is a daughter of Albert and Kit Verhofstadt of Silverdale, Wash. The bridegroom is a son of Steven and Carol Sturhahn of Quincy.

The bride was given in marriage by her father during the ceremony conducted by the Rev. John Cihak. Music was provided by the Cascade Quintet. Rodney Gray, Meghan Gray, Kimberly Gray, Rebecca Gray and Jennifer Gray were cantors.

Maid of honor was Caitlyn Verhofstadt of Portland, Ore., sister of the bride. Matron of honor was Erin Hartsell of Bremerton, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Renata Sheppard of Chicago, Elicia Paquette of Portland, Ore., Elizabeth Blachman of Virginia Beach, Va., Kathryn Friedman of New York City and Jessica West of Houston.

Best man was the bridegroom's father. Groomsmen were Jeffrey Sturhahn of Quincy, brother of the bridegroom, and Christopher Siefert of Albuquerque, N.M., Rami Dass of Champaign, Jerome Hauser and Eric Wilson, both of New York City, and Josh Estes of Dayton, Ohio.

Ushers were Matthew Rakers, Martin Rakers and Casey Sullivan.

Flower girls were Katie Blair, Rachel Blair, Angelica Hartsell and Emma Hartsell.

The bridegroom's parents hosted a rehearsal dinner Jan. 31 in Evergreen State Park in Washington. The Officer's Club at Naval Station Bremerton was the setting for a wedding dinner after the ceremony, hosted by the bride's parents, and a reception.

The bride is a graduate of the New York University College of Nursing. She is employed at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York and does research with New York University.

The bridegroom is a graduate of the University of Illinois College of Engineering and is employed by Lehman Brothers in New York. He is enrolled in the part-time master of business administration program at New York University.
