Cavemen win third straight

The Hannibal Cavemen added to the team’s longest winning streak with a 10-5 win over
Danville on Monday night at Clemens Field.
The game was tied at 1 going into the bottom of the fourth when the Cavemen scored three times. They added two more in the fifth on a Tommy Diibon 2-RBI single. Diibon went 3 for 3 with a walk in the game. The Cavemen (7-14) struck again adding four more in the eighth.
Three of those runs came on Colin Hofmann’s inside-the-park homer. Roy Metter earned the win for the Cavemen.
