The bride-elect graduated in 2002 from Danville High School and earned a bachelor's degree in information systems technology with an emphasis in captioning in 2006 from Southern Illinois University-Carbondale. Miss Wagner is employed by Keefe Reporting and Wagner Communications. The prospective bridegroom graduated in 2002 from Palmyra High School and earned a bachelor's degree in industrial technology management with an emphasis in land surveying in 2007 from SIU-C.
