Quincy Herald Whig http://qui.live.mediaspanonlinen.com/rss/ Quincy Herald Whig en-us McKenzie Disselhorst puts her own stamp on traditional 'meat and potatoes' dishes By DEBORAH GERTZ HUSARHerald-Whig Staff Writer PALMYRA, Mo. -- No matter what's on the menu, McKenzie Disselhorst says attitude is a key ingredient for any cook. "If you want to cook and think it will turn out well it has a much better chance. If somebody thinks 'I can't cook, I'm going to burn the pancakes' they probably will, and if they do, they won't try it again and learn from their mistake," Disselhorst said. "Not everything you make will turn out well especially when you try a lot of new recipes or when you're just learning to cook. Eventually you'll learn to fix what went wrong." http://qui.live.mediaspanonline.com/new_story/february-cook2009-02-10T22-03-36
