Lee Valencheck improved to 3-0 with the win in the opener — pitching four innings of shutout baseball. Jon Myers went 3 for 5 at the plate to lead the Gems (15-5).The Gems scored four unanswered runs, which included three in the top of the ninth. In Game 2, Quincy jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the third inning. But the Dragons scored a run in the fourth and three runs in the sixth to win the nightcap.
