The meeting is part of Housing Action Illinois' 2008 Caravan, during which board members and staff are visit six Illinois communities (Decatur, Springfield, Quincy, Macomb, Peoria, and Peru) over three days. The purpose of the caravan is to engage local leaders from the nonprofit sector, business and government about local housing needs to guide future advocacy, public education and technical assistance work.
