CONCERT REVIEW: Evanescence

ST. LOUIS - This past weekend, on a beautiful summer night, the Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre in Maryland Heights, MO played host to one of the most unique tours on the road this summer. Rockers Evanescence continued they “Synthesis” tour, once again bringing a blend of their hard-driving sounds with an orchestral accompaniment to a stage in the Gateway area. Unlike last year's show at the Peabody Opera House, however, the band brought along some additional friends to celebrate this summer.

Starting off the night, duo Cellogram blended a classical acoustic cello with a percussionist and electronic musician to produce a great set covering a little bit of everything from rock to country. The pair set the tone for the night, getting the audience prepared to expect the unexpected.
