Eric Wait joined The Herald-Whig in March 2014 as an account executive and was promoted to marketing manager in August 2017. He is responsible for developing strategies to promote The Herald-Whig and support company initiatives. He also coordinates the development, promotion and staging of special events, serves as liaison with community groups and assists in employee relations initiatives. Eric was honored as the 2016 Advertising Sales Representative of the Year by the Illinois Press Association. He graduated from Quincy Notre Dame High School and Eastern Illinois University with a bachelor's degree in political science. He has served as a loaned executive, a member of the Resource Investment team and on the promotions committee with the United Way of Adams County. He also is involved in the annual golf fundraiser for the Mississippi Valley Council of the Boy Scouts of America. He attends St. Francis Catholic Church in Quincy. Eric and his wife, Katie, are the parents of three daughters, Zoe, Ruby and Evee (deceased). Eric is an avid Chicago Cubs and Bears fan, loves the outdoors, live music and playing golf.
