Karen Shanholtzer joined the Quincy Herald-Whig in 2008 when she returned to the area after living in Brownsville, Texas for 10 years. While in Texas, she worked for The Brownsville Herald/El Nuevo Heraldo. In her newspaper career, she has worked in and managed both creative services and advertising departments as well as being involved in newspaper website advertising growth.
