Julie Hutmacher

Julie joined The Herald-Whig in 1999 as the assistant to the general manager. Julie's primary responsibilities were assisting the general manager/executive editor, payroll and benefits functions, finances/budgeting, operational duties as well as coordination of Herald-Whig-sponsored events such as the Monster Garage Sale, Ladies Night Out and Great River Pet Expo. Julie was named advertising account executive in June 2010. She is responsible for selling retail advertising to
businesses in the Quincy/Hannibal area.

Julie graduated from Quincy High School in 1987 and Hickey College in St. Louis, Mo., in 1988 with a certificate in medical administration.

She and her husband, Tracy, have two daughters, Taylor and Allie.
