John Potts

John K. Potts, a Quincy native, has worked in the editorial department of The Herald-Whig in a variety of roles for more than 30 years. He currently works on the copy desk as an editor and page designer. From 2003-2006, he served as director of public relations at Culver-Stockton College in Canton, Mo. Potts graduated from Quincy High School in 1975 and Quincy College in 1979. He was the first recipient of the Thomas C. Oakley I and II Scholarship to QC. An avid sports enthusiast, he is a fan of the St. Louis Cardinals, Rams and Blues. He is a member of the Quincy High School Sports Hall of Fame and founder of the SLICE Golf Benefit, which supports the Blessing Cancer Center.
