Rodney Hart writes about crime and courts and writes two columns a week. He's a 23-year newspaper veteran and grew up in Canada and Michigan, graduating from Central Michigan University in 1988. He spent 10 years as a sports editor, including 2 1/2 at The Herald-Whig. He has lived in Quincy since
1996.
He's the father of Western Illinois University sophomore Emily Hart, 18. His hobbies include golf, sitting on the beach, working for Gus Macker in the summer, playing guitar and finding obscure 80s bands on YouTube.com. He plays guitar and sings in the popular Quincy band The Cheeseburgers.
