Jessica M. Martin-Cate was named the internet director in September 2010. Along with writing her music blog "The Breakdown," she also creates illustrations for The Herald-Whig, is a regular on WGEM News/Talk Live 105 Friday mornings, and she appears on WGEM at noon each Thursday to talk about local entertainment. She previously worked in music journalism and graphic design in Chicago, where she also received her master's in journalism from Roosevelt University and a bachelor's in creative marketing and management from the Illinois Institute of Art. She is a native of Keokuk, Iowa.
