Information for your wedding announcement may be submitted online for publication in the Quincy Herald Whig by filling out and sending the form below.
Wedding announcements submitted within 120 days of the event will be published at no charge. Couples unable to meet that schedule can be accommodated through our Advertising Department. In those instances, The Herald-Whig will publish a traditional announcement with others in our Living section for a charge of $50.
You may e-mail a JPG photo to firstname.lastname@example.org. Our goal is to publish sharp, clear pictures that showcase primarily the faces of the couple. Photos that focus on the head and shoulders of the bride and groom work best. Photos that must be significantly enlarged, or that feature creative effects, are not well-suited to the technical requirements of newspapers.
If we receive a photo that is of less than optimal quality for printing, we will contact you to see if a better photo is available. Please avoid using home scanners to scan existing photos. We will ensure the return of your original photo. For photos taken with a digital camera, make certain that the camera is set to the highest resolution possible. Do not attempt to alter the photo digitally before submitting it.
