How to send in anniversary announcements:

Information for your anniversary announcement may be submitted online for publication in The Quincy Herald Whig by filling out and sending the form below. The form must be received at least two weeks prior to your preferred Sunday publication date.

Anniversary announcements are published starting with the 5th anniversary and every five years thereafter (annually after the 70th anniversary).

You may email a JPG photo to milestones@whig.com. Our goal is to publish sharp, clear pictures that showcase primarily the faces of the couple. Photos that focus mainly on the head and shoulders of the couple work best. Photos with faces that must be significantly enlarged, or that feature creative effects, are not well-suited to the technical requirements of newspapers. If we receive a photo that is of less than optimal quality for printing, we will contact you to see if a better photo is available. Please avoid using home scanners to scan existing photos. We will ensure the return of your original photo. If your photo will be taken with a digital camera, please make certain that the camera is set to save photos at the highest resolution possible. Do not attempt to alter or adjust the photo digitally before submitting it.

If you have any questions about the photo you wish to submit, please contact Jana Green at (217) 221-3375 or by emailing milestones@whig.com.

Silver Saukees: Pittsfield's state title team to reunite after 25 years
Tony Baker recently watched a video of the 1991 Class A state championship game with his 11-year-old daughter. It had been several years since Baker, an all-stater as a senior at Pittsfield High School, had seen the game. "I sure was awful skinny, and those shorts were awful short," he said with a laugh. "But it was neat to watch. It's kind of a blur, but I can remember plays that were called in every game. It's so surreal."
