Weed science field day offers tours, conversation with faculty and staff

URBANA, Ill. -- Informal guided tours to view research plots while interacting with weed science faculty, staff and graduate students will be offered June 29 at the 2011 University of Illinois Weed Science Field Day.

Coffee and refreshments will be available at 8 a.m. near the Seed House at the U of I Crop Sciences Research and Education Center in Urbana. The tour will conclude around noon with a catered barbecue lunch. Pre-registration is not required.

The $10 per person cost includes a tour book, refreshments and lunch. Participants can apply for two hours of CCA credit under the integrated pest management category.
