Jim and Kris Thomas of 1461 E. 1500th St., Fowler, have announced the engagement of their daughter, Jessica Leigh Thomas, to Adam Levi Huckey, both of 1200 S. 19th. He is a son of Kirk and Gayla Huckey of Revere, Mo.

The bride-elect is a 2003 graduate of Quincy Notre Dame High School, attended Culver-Stockton College and graduated from Quincy University in 2008. She was a four-year soccer player at C-SC, and women's graduate assistant at QU. Miss Thomas is a sixth-grade teacher at Baldwin Intermediate School.

The prospective bridegroom is a 2006 graduate of Clark County High School, attended Missouri Western State University and graduated from John Wood Community College in 2009. Mr. Huckey is a firefighter for the Tri-Township Fire Department.

The couple will be married July 23 in St. Francis Catholic Church.
