A two-vehicle non-injury accident occurred at 4:38 a.m. July 29 on Ill. 57, four-tenths of a mile south of U.S. 24. A 2007 Mack dump truck was southbound on Ill. 57 driven by James W. Savage, 35, of Quincy, and was turning into a private road with it was struck by a southbound 1998 Chevrolet Prizm driven by Heather A. Brackley, 40, of Hull, as the vehicle attempted to pass the truck, according to the Adams County Sheriff's Department. Assisting were the Tri-Township Fire Department and Adams County Ambulance Service.
