Taylor Sprenger graduates from basic training

CAMP POINT, Ill. -- AA Taylor Sprenger graduated from basic training at the U.S. Naval Recruit Training Command at Great Lakes on Aug. 5. While in training she was member of Division 938, an accelerated performing division of the Recruit Training Command. Sprenger played the trombone in the recruit band. On Aug. 7 she was transferred to Pensacola (Fla.) Naval Air Station to attend the Naval Aircrew Candidate School (NACCS). She is a daughter of Lori Sprenger of Camp Point and Denton Sprenger of Coatsburg and a 2011 graduate of Central High School at Camp Point.

Cooper, a golden doodle, is teacher Erin Armbruster's trained therapy dog, and his pawprints reach beyond just her classroom. "He helps out the students.
