Right to carry law reason for drop in crime

Posted: Updated:

To The Herald-Whig:

In the last three days I've read three articles on the big drop in crime. Not one mentioned the main reason for this so-called drop in crime. Forty-nine states how have the "right-to-carry" laws in effect to protect your family and possessions.

Isn't it strange this was not mentioned in any of these articles, of course they were written by the national news media most of which would like to see the American citizen disarmed. If memory serves me right, I along with millions of other good Americans didn't let Hitler and Tojo take these rights from us, so why should we tolerate traitorous politicians and liberal newspaper writers to do it.

Some time ago I saw a criminal interviewed and he commented if he saw a NRA (National Rifle Association) decal on a house he didn't consider trying to rob it because he knew the homeowner had a gun and knew how to use it.

The same now applies to all "right to carry" states, that's why crime is down but the politicians won't acknowledge it. Shouldn't Illinois wake up and give us that same right?
