The investigation into what caused a fire in the Smith Hall Coffee Shop at the Illinois Veterans Home Monday continues. Quincy firefighters were dispatched the scene at 6 p.m. after a report of smoke coming from the building. The fire was extinguished in about five minutes. One concern firefighters had was the potential for the fire to spread in the ceiling, which was checked with thermal imaging cameras.
