Three men arrested on meth charge

A vehicle was stopped at 12:53 p.m. Sunday on Ill. 96 resulting in the arrest of three men on meth-related charges,.

Arrested were Robert Cramsey, 35, of Mendon, Lester Hibbs, 26, of 1308 Jefferson and Jason Mallady, 34, of 301 Cherry, on a charge of unlawful participation in methamphetamine production. They were lodged in the Adams County Jail.

The Adams County Sheriff's Department reports a deputy stopped the vehicle traveling north on Ill. 96 and the department's canine unit was used to alert deputies to the possibility of drugs. A search of the vehicle revealed items commonly used in the manufacture of methamphetamine. The Sheriff's Department did not reveal where on Ill. 96 the stop was made.

Assisting were the West Central Drug Task Force and the Illinois State Police.
