    The Quincy Exchange Club, sponsor of the 62nd annual Golden Deeds Award, is accepting nominations through April 11, 2014. The annual award honors a Quincyan for valuable and selfless service to the community. Nominees can be well-known community leaders or those who have worked out of the spotlight to improve life for others.

    Roger Rupp was incredulous when he learned his wheelchair ramp had been taken from his home two weeks ago. Rupp, a U.S. Army veteran, has multiple sclerosis. The 10-foot by 3-foot aluminum ramp helped him access a garage at the rear of his 11th Street house -- or at least it did.     WARSAW, Ill. — An arrest was made early Tuesday morning in connection to a stabbing Monday night of a 40-year-old Warsaw man at a home at 10th and Crawford.Dorrance Smysor, 67, of Elmwood was arrested at 5 a.m. Tuesday in Elmwood by an officer with Warsaw Police Department and a Hancock County Sheriff's Department deputy.
