
Kelly Wilson is interactive managing editor of The Herald-Whig. She is responsible for editorial content and strategic development of The Herald-Whig's new-media platforms and social media portals. Wilson worked for The Herald-Whig for nearly 21 years as a reporter and copy editor before leaving in November 2009 to join the public relations and communications staff at Blessing Hospital. She rejoined The Herald-Whig in April 2012. Kelly graduated from Quincy University with bachelor's degrees in English and political science, and from Western Illinois University with a master's degree in English. She taught communications and English classes at Quincy University for 13 years, and served as advisor for the university's student newspaper. Her community activities have included the St. Jude Quincy to Peoria Run, the Walk to End Alzheimer's, the Bridge the Gap to Health Race and the Pioneering Healthier Communities initiative in Adams County.
