Posted: Updated:

In addition to Hannibal's Christian Locke, here are some others who could make some noise at this weekend's MSHSAA Class 3 boys and girls state track meet and the IHSA Class 1A boys state track meet, which begins today.

Alex Blickhan (Unity): After setting a West Central Conference record and tying a school record with a jump of 6 feet, 6 inches at the WCC meet, the sophomore comes into the Class 1A boys state meet tied for the fourth seed after a sectional jump of 6-3.

Jake Crenshaw (Hannibal): The defending Class 3 boys discus champion is seeded second in that event (159-7)
after winning it at sectionals.

Pravon McBride (Hannibal):
He has the No. 2 seed in Class 3 boys in the long jump (22-1/2) after winning the event at sectionals.

Brady Novak (Hannibal): His time of 4:25.99 in the 1,600 gives him the No. 2 seed for Class 3 boys.

Alex Walter (Central):
A third-place finisher in the long jump last year, Walter is seeded second in Class 1A in that event with a mark of 43 feet, 5 inches. He's also got the No. 13 seed in the 300 hurdles (41.28).

Aaron Wittler (Unity): His time of 50.94 seconds in the 400 gives him the No. 10 seed in that event for Class 1A.
